She came to Stanford as an international student from Saudi Arabia, growing up in Austria, which is why she felt an innate disconnect from the greater Bay Area. Founding the Stanford Chapter of Rem and Company allowed her to quickly connect with the local community members, ranging from candle to yoga business owners. She is passionate about the intersection between fashion and tech, having worked on her own live shopping startup. She is also excited about representation, creating the hijab emoji in 2016 for millions to use!”
